Procedure:

 Session 1

1.  Librarian will demonstrate a sample Jeopardy Game using Power Point and relevant questions generated from POWER library, SIRS Discoverer.

 Session 2

2.  Explain the difference between using POWER and online search engines such as Google.

i.e.:  Curriculum subjects,  appropriate personal interests, and Lexile Levels

3.  Demonstrate how to locate and use SIRS Discoverer Subject Directory

5.  Demonstrate, then practice how to “Trash or Treasure” notes.

 Sessions 3-6

6.  Use a Graphic Organizer to collect facts, answers and general citation.

 Sessions 7-10

Evaluate fact gathering techniques to determine if the hints are too easy or hard.  Students will discuss how to use inference to determine effective hints:  Example:  Africa can be described as a continent through which the equator intersects.

7.  Once facts have been gathered, Demonstrate how to transfer facts to Jeopardy template.

Students will  post on the  Blackboard Schools web site to share information and merge into final product.
