Free Meals For Students

All Pennsylvania Schools are closed due to the coronavirus.  Schools can provide free meals to all students through the National School Lunch Program’s Seamless Summer Option.  These meals are available for all families with children 18 years old and younger.

The Troy Area School District invites families to drive through and pick up meals for their children beginning on Wednesday, March 18.  Lunch and breakfast for the following day will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.

Please stay in your car and meals will be passed to you.  Families who live in the parks or very close to the other sites may walk to pick up their meals but are asked not to congregate at the pick-up site. The purpose of the program is to “grab” a bag and leave upon receiving the bagged goods.

Pick up is available weekly on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the following locations:

=      Town and Country Estates10:30 am-10:45 am & WR Croman School 11 am -12 pm

=      Kerryview 10:30 am-10:45 am & Gillett School 11 am-12pm

=      Whispering Pines 10:30 am-10:45am & Wells Township Building 11 am-12 pm

=      Jr/Sr High Student Parking Lot 10:30 am-10:45 am & Burlington Dandy Parking Lot 11 am -12 pm

=      Twin Oaks (Old Granville School) 11 am-12 pm

Lunches will include sandwiches, fresh vegetables, fruit and milk.  Breakfast will include fruit, juice and milk.

We encourage families to continue to be proactive in reducing the risk of coronavirus by not congregating at the pick-up site once meals have been distributed.  Continue to wash your hands often, sneeze or cough into a tissue and stay home if you are sick.

Contact Troy Area School District Food Service Department at 570-297-1612 or [email protected] if you have questions about this service or if you need to make arrangements for medically necessary meal accommodations.
