Hours for Help:  I am available before school and during directed study. I can sometimes stay after school, but I also coach so it would be by appointment.  I am usually in the school before 7:30 am.

     PARENTS:

I strongly recommend that your student obtain a Texas Instruments scientific calculator (TI - 30/36/83).  One of these three should suffice. Walmart has them for as low as $8.94.  Also purchase a 120 page notebook  and a 2 inch binder please.
    Bio:
Hello!  I am the Chemistry teacher at Troy since 1997.  I was born and raised in the area and graduated from Canton High School in 1984.  I attended Penn State University (DuBois) for 1 semester.  When I came up short for the funds for the second semester, I joined the Navy and completed their nuclear power program and served 2 years on the attack submarine USS Pasadena (SSN-752).  I moved back to the area and obtained a job as boiler operator at Mansfield University.  I worked there for 6 years as I went to school full time with a dual major of Chemistry and Physics. I worked as a chemist a Corning Inc. before coming to Troy.

I currently live in Mansfield with my wife of 30 years (she is a math teacher at Mansfield High School) and 2 of our 4 children. My oldest daughter is a Spanish teacher at Northern Potter School District and my oldest son is a building contractor.
