Troy Jr Sr High School Common Scholarship Application
The Troy Jr Sr High School Common Scholarship Application is used to select recipients for a list of local scholarships coordinated by the guidance office. This application is also used by some outside contributors when selecting the recipient(s) for their award/scholarship.
Please include ALL supporting documents with your application.
Due to a FAFSA processing delay, the Student Aid Index (SAI) will be due to guidance by April 5th, 2024. The rest of the application is still due NO LATER THAN February 23. 2024.

E-Tech Scholarship
A scholarship for academic excellence will be awarded to a Troy High School senior who will be pursuing an A.A.S or B.S. degree degree in mechanical
engineering technology or manufacturing technology related secondary
education.
- Official High School transcript
- SAT and/or PSAT
- Class Rank
- Copy of acceptance letter to a 2-year or 4-year college or university
- Essay (200 words) on community service or volunteer experience you participated in and how it impacted you.
- Essay (200 words) of your goals and aspirations for career upon graduation from high school.
- Letter or letters of recommendation from teacher in related field is desirable.
- Include any addition standardized test scores, honors, awards or achievements
with the application.
E-Tech Industrial Corp. awards a $1000 scholarship each year for the student selected
based on the information provided. The recipient of this scholarship is selected by the
E-Tech Industrial Corp. committee. They will use the Troy High School Common
Application along with the details/information outlined above to aid in the decision.
The Sallie Mae Fund’s Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program for High School Seniors helps make the dream of higher education a reality for outstanding students from under-resourced, underrepresented, and underserved communities.
High school seniors who are facing financial challenges may apply to win up to a $10,000 scholarship to help them attend college or a vocational-technical school.
Applications are now open through May 17, 2024.

Troy Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program
The Troy Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its inaugural Scholarship Program for qualified, graduating seniors. A total of 3 scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1000 each to deserving students that have met the necessary requirements. The 3 scholarship categories are as follows: Academic (4 year degree), Trade/Technical (2 year degree), and School to Work.
Eligibility:
Each applicant must:
*Be a graduating high school senior in the Troy Junior/Senior High School.
*Submit a completed application by the deadline of April 1, 2024.
Brian R. Shaner Memorial Scholarship
$3,000 Tuition Award
A scholarship for academic excellence will be awarded to a Troy Area High School Senior (Class of 2024) who will be pursuing a BS degree in Engineering, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, etc.) or Mathematics.

Merit Shop Training & Research Center Scholarships
The MSTRC Scholarships are designed to support post-secondary education in the construction industry.
The Merit Shop Training and Research Center was established several years ago by Associated Builders & Contractors, Keystone Chapter (ABC Keystone), as a non-profit fund whose mission is to provide financial assistance to students who have chosen construction-related careers. The Center is funded by members of the Chapter, who have taken the responsibility of being proactive in assisting men and women in their preparation for this industry. The Center has awarded over $574,850 since its inception. This program would not be possible without all the individuals contributing to the Center. Thank you!
To be eligible, applicants must either:
- Be a permanent resident in the Chapter’s service area which includes the following Pennsylvania counties: Adams, Bedford, Berks, Blair, Bradford, Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Chester, Clearfield, Clinton, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Elk, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lycoming, McKean, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Somerset, Sullivan, Tioga, Union, York; or,
- Be applying to or attending a Chapter service area trade school, college, or university program directly related to a construction career. This includes skilled trades, engineering, architecture, and construction management.
Applications are reviewed by distinguished industry professionals serving on the Scholarship Selection Committee of the Merit Shop Training & Research Center, Inc. The scholarships are awarded solely based on merit and without regard for the race, color, religion, national origin, or gender of applicants.

Kids Can't Fight Cancer Alone, Inc. Scholarship
Kids Can't Fight Cancer Alone is a 501(c)(3) charity organization made up of seven board members with sub-committees as needed, that supports families in Bradford, Tioga and Sullivan Counties of PA who have a child with a diagnosis of a childhood cancer, from notification to remission and beyond. And sadly, through internment, if needed. All funds raised stay locally and Kids Can't Fight Cancer Alone is 100% volunteer.
Kids Can't Fight Cancer Alone will again be offering TWO $2,500 scholarships to the graduating seniors of Bradford, Tioga and Sullivan County schools, who are pursuing further education. The TWO $2,500 scholarships will be available to former or present patients of pediatric cancer
or to a sibling of a former or present patient of pediatric cancer. Qualified applicants are those who have completed treatment or those in treatment and their siblings.
Applicants for the 2024 awards can apply starting March 15, 2024 with a deadline for application set at April 26,
2024. The recipients will be announced on or before June 1, 2024, however, the payment will
be made directly to the institution of higher learning or trade school prior to the start of the
recipient’s academic year.
Mansfield Foundation Scholarships
The 2024-25 Mansfield Foundation scholarship application will open Thursday, February 15th. Students can go to https://mansfieldfoundation.awardspring.com to apply online.
There are several scholarships for students attending any university within the U.S. along with many opportunities for student interested in attending Commonwealth University - Mansfield.
Joseph R. Every Scholarship
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. High School Senior or graduate of a public or non-public high school in Bradford or Tioga County, PA or Chemung County, NY
2. Be accepted to an accredited college, university, or professional school in a program leading to a degree in EDUCATION, MEDICINE, OR ENGINEERING.
3. Have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 2.0.
4. Consideration will be given to financial need.
The scholarship will be awarded for the first year of higher education only and will be in an amount determined by the selection committee. A maximum award of $10,000 may be made. Funds may be used to help pay for tuition, books, and room and board.

Oscoluwa Engine & Hose Company/Troy Fire Department Scholarship
The Award is given to a child or grandchild that is a member in good standing with the Troy Fire Department. Applicants must be enrolled in college or university and accepted as a full time student. Applicant is required to write a one-page essay entitled, "Why is volunteering important to the community?"

WELLS-JACKSON LIONS CLUB MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
WHO: Senior high school students who reside in Wells Township, Bradford Co., PA or Jackson Township, Tioga Co., PA. Applicants must plan on attending an accredited program at either a two-year or four-year institution and must start that program the year following the award

Troy Lions Club Huck Fund Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2010 by the Troy Lions Club in recognition of Harold "Huck" Morris. Preference will be given to students who are the first members of their family to attend college. Students with continuing financial need may reapply for this scholarship in their sophomore, junior, and senior years in college. To be eligible for a scholarship the student must have maintained at least a "C" average while in college. Students would reapply directly to the Troy Lions Club.

Tri-County Rural Electric Cooperative Scholarship
This scholarship offers accessible and future focused opportunities for students studying electrical technology. With a particular emphasis on inclusion of two-year technical certificate programming that supports current and future generations of students in electronic technology.
Eligible applicants should be pursuing a degree or certificate in electrical contracting, electrical technology, electrical engineering, line-man certification and other electrical utility careers may be considered.

Towanda Musical Society Scholarship
Barbara Sowinski started this fund in 2009 to benefit any Bradford County High School Graduate pursuing a career in music. Applicant must be a resident of Bradford County, accepted into the music department of an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in music. The head of the music department of each eligible high school in Bradford County can nominate up to two candidates for the scholarship.
