Senior Letter

May 18, 2021

Dear Class of 2021 and Parents/Guardians: In a short while your student will pass an important milestone in life, graduation. It marks the end of high school, and the beginning of a bright future. But more importantly, graduation marks achievement. It is a ceremony of honor and recognition that links your student to the graduates of generations past and future. It is a proud public announcement that those who are receiving diplomas have earned the rights and privileges due a high school graduate. We’re proud of each of our graduating students and congratulate them and their parents on their achievement. As faculty and administrators, we’ll do everything possible to make this year’s graduation ceremony and senior events worthy and honorable events filled with memories you and your graduate will treasure for a lifetime. Here are some particulars of which you should be aware:

1. The senior class trip to Hershey Park will be held on June 4th for seniors who have made reservations for that trip. Any senior that does not display responsible and respectful behavior while on the class trip is subject to not walking at graduation.

4. Last school year we held our first ever graduation parade and we would like to continue this tradition. The parade will be held prior to commencement on Friday June 11th. Students will be assigned to either Croman, the bowling alley, or another designated location. The parade will start at 6:30pm and the route will end at Alparon Park. Students feel free to decorate your vehicles.

5. Commencement is Friday, June 11th, 2021 at 8:15 pm. Your son/daughter needs to be in between the gymnasium and TIS no later than 7:30 PM. Each senior will receive 7 tickets. Students must return their ticket order form to the high school office by May 24th. Masks must be worn at commencement.

There are times in everyone’s life where proper dress is important and required. Graduation is one of those times. Please encourage your son or daughter to be dressed properly. A student not properly attired will not be able to participate in the ceremony. Girls - A light colored dress with nice shoes. (Note: The girls’ gowns are white.) Boys - are required to wear dress slacks, a shirt with a tie and a pair of dress shoes (no sandals or sneakers, please).
