WHERE & WHEN
John Hickok will be holding school bus driver training classes at the Western Alliance Emergency Services Building, 121 Canton St., Troy, PA. The first day of classes will be on Saturday, May 2 from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. This class is for new drivers AND drivers who need recertification. A second day of classroom training for new drivers only will be held on Saturday, May 9 from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM at the same location. (Please park on the side of the building next to the creek.)
CONTENT
The May 2 class will cover all PA required classroom instruction for those who need PA school bus driver recertification, as well as the day 1 requirements for new PA school bus drivers. The May 9 class will cover all PA required classroom training for new drivers and will include the mandatory Entry Level Driver Training instruction as mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association (FMCSA).
WHAT TO BRING
All drivers should bring a valid driver’s license. Current drivers should bring their S-Endorsement Card or “Yellow Card”. Feel free to bring your own snacks, beverage and/or bag lunch. There will be an AM break and a PM break and a lunch break. There are many available eating locations close by as well. Bottled water and donuts will be provided.
COST & PAYMENT
The cost of the in-person classroom training is $50.00 per person, per day, payable by the end of the complete training time. This includes ELDT training costs. Credit card, personal check, company check, cash, Venmo, Chime, Apple Pay or company invoiced are all acceptable forms of payment.
CAN’T MAKE THE DATE?
Perhaps your S-Endorsement is to expire soon, and you need an earlier date to keep things current. Other instructors may be available. Reach out to John Hickok for more information.
