Professional Staff Positions
The Emotional Support teacher will work directly with students to identify emotional and behavioral problems and will develop a plan that will enable the student to achieve their potential in school. The teacher will be responsible to adapt lessons to meet individual needs, create personal goals, and implement behavior management strategies.
Troy Area School District is seeking a certified teacher who will serve as a positive role model for students in all aspects of performance, demonstrating pride in the honorable profession of public education. Provide instruction in areas of certification and assignment using district approved curriculum and model. Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students. Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects and communicate those objectives to students. Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies and administrative procedures. Communicate with parents and community to keep them informed about classroom events. Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children’s progress. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in order to address individual student needs and progress.
Support Staff Positions
The successful candidate will provide general installation, configuration and maintenance of Troy Area School District’s end use hardware and software systems. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, proven ability to work independently without constant direct supervision, the ability to effectively multi-task and work in an environment with frequent interruptions, and have strong understanding, appreciation of, and commitment to confidentiality.

The Troy Area School District is seeking a qualified candidate to be the Interim Varsity Cheer/Competitive Cheer Advisor/Coach for the Fall and Winter seasons. The successful candidate will, in addition to having a high level of knowledge in coaching the sport of cheerleading, be able to promote school spirit and teamwork within the squad, communicate frequently with the Athletic Director, be a leader and role model for students, and maintain a physically safe practice environment and plan effective practices.
