This is an updated message from Troy Area School District. Due to the continued weather, we will are moving to a 3-hour delay to give townships additional time to clear the roads. If you do not feel comfortable sending your student to school today, it will be an excused absence. Be safe.

Virtual Financial Aid Night – November 21st Event: PHEAA Financial Aid Night Webinar with Troy Area HS and Canton Area HS Nancy Harvey, PHEAA’s Higher Education Access Partner, will present information on the financial aid application process, what types of aid are available for students, and strategies to start thinking about affordability before getting ready to apply for post-secondary school admission. Time will be built into the program to answer any questions you may have regarding the financial aid process. Updates Regarding the Football game and Lock Haven Event Management: General admission and parking - Gates will open for general parking of the public starting at 5:15pm. There will not be any early access to the parking lot. The entrance is through electronic ticketing (hometown tickets) no cash will be accepted for payment and entrance. There are limited ADA/Handicap parking spaces available at the stadium and are on a first come first serve parking. There will be a concession stand available selling food and beverage refreshments Overflow parking – In case Hubert Jack stadium fills to capacity for spectator parking there is designated overflow parking available in areas in a 3a and 3b as shown on the following parking map - https://www.commonwealthu.edu/documents/lock-haven-campus-map. There is a walking path from this parking lot to the football field as shown on the map. There is no shuttle service for this distance. Go Trojans!

Friendly Reminder! Yearbook Picture Day-Last Call! If your child is a new student, missed picture day or needs a re-take, Tuesday, November 19th is the final opportunity to get a yearbook picture taken. There are order forms available in the main office. If your child is having their picture re done, please hand in the original package on picture day.

Trojan Transport hosted an Electric Bus Training with Rohrer Bus Service. The training included Bradford County EMA & Safety Coordinator, PA State Police, Troy , East Smithfield and Ridgebury Fire Departments, TASD, and a number of school bus drivers. Trojan Transport received four electric buses and Chambers School Buses will receive three.

Halloween Safety -Dress in a well fitting costume with a mask that does not limit vision. -Use flashlights or glow sticks for visibility. -Always use crosswalks and look both ways before crossing. -Stay on sidewalks where possible. -Inspect all candy before consuming. -Throw away any opened candy.
